Music Rights, Licensing & DMCA Policy

This page describes how Good Flippin Vibes (GFV) manages music ownership, licensing requests, copyright claims, and takedown notices for content distributed under the GFV brand.

Policy

All sections apply to music released through the GFV brand, including artist profile pages and album pages on goodflippinvibes.com.

1. Ownership and Rights Reservation

All recordings, compositions, artwork, and related media presented under the GFV brand are owned by Good Flippin Vibes LLC and/or the respective rights holders identified in the underlying agreements. All rights are reserved unless an explicit written license is provided.

2. Licensing Requests

Licensing of GFV music must be authorized in writing. To request a license, send a request to getsome@goodflippinvibes.com with:

  • Requesting party (legal name and contact)
  • Track or release title and artist
  • Intended use (territory, media, duration, audience)
  • Distribution channels and expected reach
  • Compensation proposal, if applicable

No license is granted until GFV confirms terms in writing.

3. Sync, Commercial, and Derivative Use

GFV music may not be used in advertisements, films, games, broadcasts, paid streams, AI training datasets, or other commercial contexts without a written sync or commercial license. Remixes, edits, mashups, samples, stems, and any derivative works also require prior written permission.

4. Copyright Claims by Third Parties

If you believe content presented on a GFV property infringes a copyright you own or control, please submit a notice using the DMCA process below. Misrepresenting ownership in a copyright claim may carry legal consequences.

5. DMCA Takedown Notice

To submit a DMCA takedown notice, email getsome@goodflippinvibes.com with the subject line "DMCA Takedown" and include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
  3. The URL(s) of the allegedly infringing material on goodflippinvibes.com.
  4. Your contact information (name, address, phone, email).
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner.

GFV will review valid notices and may remove or disable access to the identified content while a claim is being evaluated.

6. DMCA Counter-Notice

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice including your contact information, identification of the removed material and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake, and your consent to applicable jurisdiction.

7. Release Metadata Standards

GFV maintains canonical artist names, release titles, and release URLs to reduce misattribution across platforms. Discrepancies on third-party platforms should be reported to the rights contact so they can be reconciled.
